Alright I will take your word for it mainly because you "know your stuff" and I am not a fan of Cat Stevens anyways. I just saw it on here so what you said makes sense. The GnR one definatley was not GnR. It stick to the 80's scene. Def Leppard, Poison, Skid Row, Whitesnake, Aerosmith, and Motley Crue for me. Escpiacally EARLY Def Leppard. Damn, back when they were old school hard rock. I love that stuff. New music sucks.

I cannot agree completely to you. Of course there is much shit (e.g. all the casting shows etc.) but there are still bands and musicians who make real music. And I don´t only mean the old bands who are still active nowadays but also newcomer bands (Bloc Party, Wolfmother...)

Great cover of a classic song. I work a stressful job with long hours. My oldest son will be going off to college later this year and my 15 year old will be there soon. I missed a whole lot of their growing up just trying to make a living for them. I just hope they understand. This song really hits home.........

I remember listening to this song when I was younger, it was quite painful, as it really underscored my relationship with my father.
Now, years later, I am a father, and listening to this song made me revisit a few things. Yeah, I am guilty of placing my work ahead of my kids from time to time as well, either by being away or by thinking about work when I should be fully engaged with them...
Let's hope it can be improved before time runs out.

I absolutely love this song, all time favourite, although this is going to be repetative, it reminds me so much of my childhood. I remember when my dad painted my outline on a tree on our property outback. then we moved to the city, and i went to college, now im singing this to my youngest son, who is 3 months old
