This song hits me every time..almost every single time I hear it, I just break down. I think maybe the mom is in denial after the kid dies, and takes him out of the hospital to do things with him that they used to do.

Seems like the child is on life support in the video, and the mom would rather her son die in a little motel room than to suffer in a hospital. Depressing and genius at the same time :(
