I saw this ad 2 days before the election - stopped me dead in my tracks, and I teared up. So powerful, so appropriate. I love my country and feel blessed to see our system work as the founders intended. Minutes after the acceptance speech in Chicago, I emailed close friends with 2 words: Hallelujah, Amen. Now, lets all pitch in to clean up this mess. Its what we're good at, and its what brings us together. Need more encouragement? Listen to Fifth Dimension's "Save The Country".

Perhaps you were put off by the photo, because it was a photo of Bush and McCain, not Bush and Cheney. :-) But yes, outstanding song!

This is beautiful. I was put off by the photo of Bush and Chaney, but otherwise is was perfect. One of my favorite Paul Simon songs.I dreamed I was dyingI dreamed that may soul rose unexpectedlyAnd looking back down at mesmiled reassuringlyAnd I dreamed I was flyingHigh up above my eyes could clearly seeThe Statue of LibertySailing away to seaAnd I dreamed I was flying...

My very favorite Paul Simon song. I remember listening to it sometime after the twin towers fell and we were gearing up for war. "High up above my eyes could clearly see the Statue of Liberty sailing away to sea..." Listen to the whole thing if you get a chance.

not even an Obama supporter but this was truly brilliant. I think they should have left McCain off- but understand why he was there.

To elaborate: the tune began as a secular love song by Hans Hassler, then Paul Gerhardt added new, sacred words, and it became (in English) "O Sacred Head Now Wounded." Indeed, Bach harmonized it and used it in the St Matthew Passion.

One of my favorites of the season. Happy to find it because I spotted a couple of fellow extras who worked on it a couple days before the election.Perfect song, nice dissolves...
